N Inch Relay 2015

After such a hot day, perfect conditions followed for the North Inch Relay last night, albeit a slight breeze picked up prior to the event.

In total we had sixty runners, which made registration slightly hectic, but after a delayed start twenty teams tackled the 1.5 mile circuit.

Congratulations to Greg, Mike and David for running 07:01 and breaking the 2013 record (07:09)……pity they could not have run a couple of seconds faster and smashed the seven minute barrier, but I’m sure they are saving the headlines for 2016 and doing it in an Olympic year.

The leading junior team of Ruben, Luke and Alastair just missed out on breaking the 2014 record by 2-agonising seconds to finish in 08:59…..always next year!!

Thanks to Karen for timing and handling 7 teams finishing in a 12-second period.  Never seen or heard so many runners coughing after a race as I did last night.   Good to know that your lungs were tested to the full.

Full Results are available here.

See you next year.
