Another very busy weekend saw 3 Perth Road Runners travel north to take part in the Loch Ness Marathon.Duncan Ryan gave a monster performance completing the course in a fantastic time of 2hrs 56 mins and 12 secs.Dave Macfadyen posted another sub 3.30 marathon managing a very respectable 3.24.10. Evergreen Kenny Stewart now over 100 marathons young cruised home in 3.48.12. Wearing his traditional pink shorts.
Debbie Jackson ran in the 10k event and raced home in a cracking 52 mins 31 secs.
The East Neuk 10k also took place on Sunday near Anstruther with Stuart Robertson running a speedy 38 mins 50 secs,Stuart Fraser managed 40.49 closing in on the elusive sub 40 min 10k.Bob Brown once again ran a great race in 47.40 with Pete Ritchie running 55.36.
Kevin Rogers travelled to Berlin to take part in their marathon and had a great run managing 3hrs 08 mins and 29 secs and a new PB.

The weekend saw 14 Perth Road Runners take part in the Glasgow half marathon.A fantastic live televised event saw some great performances.Myles Bax continued his tremendous running coming home in 1hr13.09.Greg Simpson sped home in 1.16.25. Michael McConnell was next in 1.21.54 with Ronnie Glen managing a very competitive 1.24.57.Mark Dunn followed close behind in 1.25.02.Martin Mcewen showing a return to form managed 1.25.57 with Kevin Riddell running an impressive 1.27.40.Simon Grieshaber continued his improving season with a cracking 1.34.27 and Richard Hughes not far behind in 1.37.38.Richard Ward just missed out on a sub 1.40 by 2 seconds.Hugh Daly 1.41.22,Susan Smith 2 hrs and 45 secs,Linda Oneill 2.04.50 and Bekah Blyth completing the green vests home in 2.11.29.
The club run continues on Tuesday night at 6.25pm from Bells sports centre.

The Weekend saw 16 Green Vests travel down to fife to take part in the Tufty Trail Race that saw 216 competitors run 5.5 miles on trails and paths within the beautiful surroundings of the Falkland Estate. A brilliant performance from Mike McConnell saw him come home in first place in a time of 32mins 55 secs.Mike Souter was next back with a minute in 33.44,Stuart Fraser managed 36.43 with Neil Muir running 37.41.Richard Hughes continues his improvements with a competitive 41.17 Grant Ivor Strachan ran 42.12 With Sonjia Crow flying home in 43.20.Paul Robertson 43.42, Elvis Reid 44.18,Marianne McLevy 46.48.Catriona Liddell 50.03, Gillian Smith 51.24,Julie Reid 52.21,Caroline Hogarth 53.50, Alan Paterson 60.10 and Eleanor Paul completing the road runners home in 61.20.Well done to all the runners on another well organised event.

The last couple of weeks has been very hectic with Perth Road Runners travelling to many different areas to complete various events.
Barry Campbell started off doing the Yorkshire marathon managing a time of 3hrs 53 mins.He then moved up a distance completing The Jedburgh Dirty Double which consisted of 38 miles in 7 hrs 45 mins.The following day running 13.1 miles in 1hr 48 mins.A great achievement from Big Baz.
The Dublin marathon was also completed by Kevin Rogers in 3hrs 12,Grant Key in 3hrs 45 and Legendary marathon runner Kenny Stewart in 3hrs 54. Great performances from the trio.
Myles Bax went over to Frankfurt and completed his maiden marathon in an astounding time of 2hrs 38 mins.
The Cross Country season is under way and 8 green vests took part in the event at Cumbernauld with 2 teams of 4 running 4kms each in very testing conditions.Mike McConnell,Kevin Riddell,Mark Dunn and Hamish Shankland completed it in 1hr 4 mins and 18 seconds.With The other team of David Knight,Simon Grieshaber,Jimmy Fotheringham and Duncan Ryan completing the course in 1 hr 3 mins and 57 secs.With everybody agreeing that it was a well organised event with over 2000 runners taking part. Special thanks to Simon Grieshaber for organising the Registrations.
Templeton Woods 10 miler is the venue this Sunday with many PRRS going down to take part.
