Pitmedden Forest, Abernethy

To get there, proceed out to Bridge of Earn and then on to Abernethy, (A912 then A913), pass through Aberargie then turn right before Abernethy, following the narrow country road signposted for Glenfoot and Strathmiglo. Travel this road for approximately 1.75 miles and then turn left into the forest. There is ample parking and a “Race Route” sign will be placed at the entrance to the forest.

You will need a torch but can’t have a watch!

STANLEY.

TO GET THERE PROCEED UP THE A9 UNTIL YOU SEE THE ROAD SIGNS
FOR STANLEY, STANLEY MILL AND ACTIVE KIDS PLAY AREA. TURN
RIGHT OFF THE A9 AND PROCEED APPROXIMATELY ½ MILE TO THE CAR PARK ON THE LEFT.

YOU WILL NEED A TORCH BUT CAN`T HAVE A WATCH.

Place: Meet behind Cherrybank Inn, Glasgow Road, Perth

Start: About 3/4mile up Necessity Brae (from Cherrybank)

Distance: Approx. 4.75 miles

Parking: Available in pub car park

No entry fee no prizes, it’s a club fun run

Afterwards adjourn to the Cherrybank Inn where you can purchase hot drinks/food (they start serving at midday)

Please no dirty shoes in the pub.

THE VENUE THIS YEAR IS LOCH ORDIE, DUNKELD. THE ROUTE WILL BE
THE SAME FORMAT AS PREVIOUS YEARS IN SO MUCH AS IT IS AN OUT
AND BACK ROUTE SUITABLE FOR BOTH RUNNERS AND WALKERS.

THIS IS NOT A RACE BUT IS A SOCIAL RUN AND IS MORE THAN
MANAGEABLE REGARDLESS OF YOUR PACE.

AS ALWAYS THE WEARING OF SOMETHING FESTIVE IS THE USUAL
ORDER AND BRING A FLASK, OR HIPFLASK AND A BITE TO EAT.

IN THE EVENT OF ADVERSE WEATHER ON THE DAY WE WILL SELECT
ANOTHER ROUTE IN OR CLOSE TO PERTH.
