PRR members are amongst those selected from over 5,000 applicants to be volunteers at the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014. Mel Macrae will be a Team Leader, Field of Play Cycling, with responsibility for road race and time trials. Caroline Ness also aTeam Leader, Field of Play Athletics, will have responsibility for lane markers and starting blocks. Tony Jackson has been selected as a Hurdle Handler, Field of Play Athletics, and maybe helping with starting blocks too. Prospective member, Catherine Lovegrove putting in efforts on the Club’s recent hill training sessions, will join the band of medical volunteers at Games Family Hotel. The Club is proud that members are inspired to be at the heart of the Games, the biggest sporting and cultural event ever seen in Scotland.
