For those that may not have heard, the popular Parkrun event has finally arrived in Perth! The inaugural Perth Parkrun kicks off this weekend on Saturday 30th November and will be held every Saturday morning thereafter. The run starts at 09.30 am just a short distance from Bells on the North Inch.
If you want to take part, simply register on the Parkrun website http://www.parkrun.org.uk/perth/ , print off your barcode and bring it along with you to the event. (If you ‘ve already registered with another Parkrun there is no need to register again, just bring your existing barcode.)
Parkrun also needs Volunteers! It is an event that is run completely by volunteers, without whom it cannot happen. If you would like to help out at any event whether in the near or distant future, please see the Parkrun website here – http://www.parkrun.org.uk/perth/volunteer/ . By registering to help as a volunteer you are not committing yourself to doing it regularly (though that would be great if you wanted to): even an occasional stint helps the event survive.
